Friday 29th - Electrical nearly done, kitchen usable

Another good effort by the electrician. The photo of the kitchen doesn’t show the whole story. There are now literally millions of little electrons hiding ready in the wires, just waiting to be released when we switch on the jug or the cooktop which we are finally able to do. He has got the kitchen finished, and only has to connect up the rest of the other cables and mount the sockets and switches on the new walls, though from the second photo you can see that there are one or two cables do. The builder is due on Monday too to put up the last of the plasterboard.

Now sitting watching the Euro track and field champs on TV, waiting for a flamenco concert to get under way at 9:30pm. We intend to just peer through a screen set up around it as we don’t feel up to a whole concert. The apartment is looking pretty spick and span.

We have done a major tidy now we have the kitchen working, and have set up half of our wardrobe so we can clear out our clothes from the kitchen cupboards and pantry where they have been living for the last two months. This morning it was an awful mess with no room to move anywhere, tonight it is the best ever. The end is in sight thankfully.
