The best news of the day is that we have accepted an
electrical quote. M. Thierry Martrou arrived after lunch with his devis, which was around one third of the other quote, though
included a little less. We accepted straight away, and the likely start date is
Wednesday. It’s a pity it is while we have family staying, but we’d be crazy to
put him off in case we miss our spot, as tradesmen get very busy at this time
of year with homeowners wanting their places sorted before the annual summer
holidays.
With that last quote sorted, a working bedroom, and our last
major purchase made and collected, we feel like we are on the home run now.
Sally arrives Monday, and Alastair the following Saturday, so life will be different here
for a week and a bit.
The afternoon was spent on the computers working.
