Back to work again. We had finally managed to find some
paint that pretty much matched the colour on the outside face of shutters. I
set to and painted up both double shutters, trying to eke out the paint
because of its horrendous cost – about NZ$48 per half litre. Had to give in –
we will have to buy another can to paint the shutters in the bedroom when we
get around to it. J spent time with the guy upstairs sorting out the connection
for our satellite dish on the roof.
Had our 2nd electrician around
to do a quote – yet again an incredibly nice guy. We have been seriously
impressed (and perhaps surprised) at how friendly just about everyone we have
met has been.
Spent a good chunk of the afternoon confirming what we want
to buy from IKEA tomorrow when we pick up our hire van and head to Montpellier.
We had to work out a ‘plan of attack’ to be able to get back to Perpignan in
time to zoom around three other shops where we had large or heavy items to pick
up while we had wheels to transport them back to Céret.
