Summer has arrived. 20° by 8am, and it is just under 27° at 5:30pm, with a nice breeze blowing. Karen is sitting in the window with a beer, a book and a new haircut. Suzy and family will be on their way now from Carcassonne.
We've had to replace a number of our windowbox petunias for some reason. Perhaps they got some lime from the roof renovations that have upset them. We’ve swapped to geraniums this time!
Suzy, Tim and co. arrived about 6pm after a long day’s travel from near Bordeaux, via Carcassonne. It was great to see them. After unloading Nick, Emma and Jack’s gear at the hotel, and Suzy and Tim’s gear into our apartment, we gathered at our local café and had a very enjoyable coffee together. Home to have a beer (lovely and cold now we have our fridge) and then an easy meal. Since yesterday the weather has taken a dramatic turn and the forecast is for temperatures of 26-27 for the foreseeable future.
A good deal of chatting and catching up and then to bed.
